Sixty frames, each one chosen by hand
We carry sixty frames at any time — no more. Every frame is handled, tried on, and checked for hinge tension before it reaches the shelf. We restock quarterly from trade shows in Tokyo, Milan and Ōtautahi.

We dispense Essilor, Hoya and NZ-made CR Surfacing lenses. Every pair includes anti-reflective coating and UV 400 as standard — we do not charge extra for what should be baseline.

04 · About us
Two dispensing opticians who love what they do
Frame & Co. was opened in 2019 by Aya Nakamura and Tom Ellis — both registered dispensing opticians with a combined 24 years on faces. We left corporate optometry because we wanted to spend 45 minutes with each person, not seven.
Aya trained in Sabae and brings every Japanese brand back personally. Tom handles the European and NZ lines and runs our same-day lens-cutting workshop in the back room. Between us we fit about 40 pairs a week.
