Kitchen & Textiles

Screen-printed with native plants by Tī Kōuka Textiles in Ōtorohanga. All linen is grown and woven in New Zealand.

Our makers

Six producers, one store.

Every item in the store is made by one of these people. We visit every workshop, know every ingredient list, and pay on delivery — not on consignment.

Māhoe PotteryRaglan

Hand-thrown stoneware mugs, bowls and plates in ocean blue and dune glazes. Each piece kiln-fired for 14 hours.

Hive & HarvestMatamata

Beeswax wraps, candles and wildflower honey from 120 hives across the Waikato.

Kōwhai KitchenHamilton

Small-batch chutneys, pickles and hot sauces. Everything cooked in a licensed home kitchen with Waikato produce.

Tī Kōuka TextilesŌtorohanga

Linen tea towels, produce bags and aprons screen-printed with native plant motifs. NZ-grown linen.

About us

Two market stallholders, one store.

Kauri & Co. was started in 2020 by Jess Ngata and Liam Ford. They spent three years selling other people's goods at Raglan's Sunday market before realising every maker they loved had the same problem: no online presence, no time to build one, and no way to reach customers outside their town.

The store launched with six makers and has stayed at six. Every item ships in plastic-free packaging, and delivery is carbon-neutral via NZ Post's Emissions Delivery Service.
